WebOct 23, 2011 · If it's running too slow, then probably it's either an over-supply of fuel because of a bad diaphragm or a diaphragm that's installed incorrectly. Either over or under speed will cause a saw to die when the throttle is released assuming the throttle screw is adjusted properly.
