WebThe LHHT is a state park, not a state forest. There's no camping except at the campgrounds with a reservation, even for the tent sites (hammock campers are supposed to book a tent site), and there's no reservations now. I don't know if the rangers are still visiting the shelter sites as often as before, but they do check them from time to time.
